Gentle Steps welcomes women from different ages, cultures, backgrounds and life experiences. We particularly want to create space for women who may feel overlooked or excluded from traditional fitness and wellbeing spaces.
You don’t need experience, special equipment or anyone to come with. You’re welcome to start gently.
Gentle Steps was founded by Tanya, drawing on her background in health, community work and wellbeing, and a growing feeling that women need more spaces where we are not always caring, rushing, working or showing up for everyone else.
It began with a simple idea: women deserve time and space to centre our own health and wellbeing.
What started as a local walking group has grown into something broader, bringing together movement, creativity, conversation and cultural expression. Gentle Steps creates opportunities for women to explore different sides of themselves, try new experiences, build meaningful connections and celebrate the cultures and heritage that make us who we are.
At its heart, Gentle Steps is about making space for ourselves, together.
